13 Grandmother Moons: Land-Based Learning

In this post I will reflect on my winter count symbols as a synthesized whole, to story my holistic inquiry throughout this past year.

During this moon, I am struck by the amount of space around me and the importance of staying in the present moment.

The ground is hard and sharp and the air is soft and welcoming during this time of intense temperature change.

Welcome to the first post of the new year! Deep winter cold has descended onto my place of land-based learning.

As the nights grow long and the cold creeps in, the land feels fierce, with warnings of danger and caution to be prepared.

Winter is coming, with frost and snow starting to blanket the ground.

In the seventh moon of my land-based learning journey, seasons are changing and the land seems filled with peace.

On the land in my special place, I perceive a sense of gathering and dimming, and a call to slow down.
