The Power of Play in Mixed Age Groups

One of the most important things which makes a day home program unique is the ability to care for more than one age group at a time. There are so many benefits offered when children of different ages come together to play! Come and explore how each age can engage in play and learning as a group, and leave with the knowledge and language to explain these unique benefits to families.

Learning Outcomes:

● Explore the benefits of caring for children in mixed ages

● Identify strategies to include children of different ages in group play opportunities

● Learn how infants and toddlers can be safely included in mixed age groups

This session is approved for Professional Development Funding for 1.5 hours of Release time and $25 Professional Development funding in Alberta.
