About the event
In the second part of the session, we will discuss what guiding behaviour can look like using a strengths-based approach. Managing elements like room set-up, schedule, and how we approach children can stop many challenging behaviours before they even begin! Next, we will explore what to do after a concerning behaviour has occurred. We will conclude by asking for examples of behaviours that challenge participants, and work through real-life examples to set the stage for success in our day home programs.
While participants will benefit most from registering for both sessions, they can be taken independently.
Learning Outcomes:
● Discover the factors that can contribute to challenging behaviours
● Reflect on behaviors that are developmentally appropriate
● Consider whether a behaviour needs guidance - how problematic is it?
